Broken Leg, Villa Threatened Absent at Euro 2012

"David has suffered a broken leg and will return to Barcelona to undergo surgery as soon as possible," said Barca coach Pep Guardiola after the game, as reported by Reuters on Thursday (15/12/2011).
"We were all very sad for him(villa). He was a charming person and was a major blow for the team," added Guardiola after securing a place in the finals and will face the Brazilian club Santos.
David Villa Barcelona was top scorer of Spain to the present, which stood at 50 goals in 81 appearances for his country. Events that make Villa 2012 suffered an injury occurs in the first round and after that he immediately suggests asking withdrawn before the end was rushed to a local hospital in Yokohama.
"Villa will be absent for a long time," said Guardiola. "I do not know how long but it takes a long time to come back after the break to undergo surgery," he continued.
"All the players are very worried about David Villa. We hope he will be back as soon as possible. Our thoughts with him and we had to win the Club World Cup without him," he said.
