Buffon Best Goalkeeper of the 21st Century
Juventus and Italy national team goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon was named the best goalkeeper of the 21st century by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).

The award is an appreciation of the performances for keeping the team's goal is defended in recent years. The award is given to Buffon based the data collected IFFHS from around the world, including a monthly ranking of the players defended the club.
